Jacelyn Revland Licensed Professional Counselor 214.598.0529 |
|
Jacie received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Texas. She received a Masters in Counseling from Amberton University. She is currently working in the mental health field with Adapt of Texas and frequently works with clients who struggle with Bipolar/ Depression, Substance Abuse, Anxiety, and Divorce Recovery. She also has a heart for working with adolescents after completing an internship with Allen ISD’s Safe and Drug Free Schools and singles with a special emphasis on relationships and self esteem. She recently left Providence of Texas providing home based therapy to adolescents and their families to return to ADAPT mobile crisis service where she does assessments and referrals.
Jacie’s unique perspective on life shapes her counseling approach. As a counselor, she offers hope to those who at times seem like they can not see past tomorrow. She has a zest for life and desires for those she counsels to step into the life they were created to enjoy. Personal Quote Do not let the ghosts of the past affect the future. Every day is new and you are not going to be able to go back to yesterday. The most important step is the step you are taking right now. Therapeutic Techniques Everyone is unique and not all approaches will work for everyone. Clients are very involved with the therapy process and their input and receptiveness is very important to the treatment plan. Based on a client’s needs, desires and expectations an individualized treatment plan will be established so even the little successes can be celebrated. Counseling as Her Ministry I truly believe counseling is what I was created to do. It is the way I can use my talents and personality to serve God. He has taken me through the training to prepare me to help others learn to step forward from the things that are holding them back in life. Regardless of religious preference, we are all free to make choices in what we believe and how we walk through life. I recognize free will and strive to learn more about how to minister to you!
