Background and Experience Kim works with children as young as ten, adolescents and adults. She treats teens and adults struggling with behavioral problems at home or at school, anxiety, low self esteem, anger, grief and loss, addiction and depression. Her special interests include working with individuals who are struggling with addiction, traumatic or stressful life events such as divorce, grief and loss, career change, and spiritual issues. Kim also has extensive experience working with couples and blended family issues. Kim is happy to provide counseling from a Christian perspective if that is your desire. Kim is involved in a local church and enjoys spending time with her husband and their five children. Personal Statement I have a special passion for those who are suffering life’s setbacks. Whether you feel overwhelmed with grief and guilt, don’t know where to begin as a single parent, or are disappointed that your life hasn’t quite turned out quite as you had imagined it, I believe that counseling can help sort out those feelings and find hope for the future. Together we can explore your personal strengths and resources and help find new ways to cope with life’s struggles. I also enjoy working with adolescents and their families to resolve behavioral, social, or academic issues that are common to teens. Education and Training Kim completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Oklahoma and completed her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Amberton University.
