Frequently Asked Questions How many counseling sessions does it take? The minimum number of sessions is three. The general recommendation is four to five sessions. Couples with more complicated issues may want to pursue additional work. The cost depends on how many sessions you choose and the level of experience of the ACA counselor. What is the Prepare? Prepare is a premarital counseling inventory that helps couples examine 14 different marital areas. Is there research behind the PREPARE premarital program? Yes, it has been tested on over 500,000 couples.
